Holy Cross Parish Care offers parish resources and information about resources available from our local community for our elderly, sick, and homebound parishioners. They provide funeral planning assistance and other supportive services including Pat's Closet.  Melanie Feeney-Lewis and Rosemary Vasko are available by telephone Monday - Thursday and in-person visits are available by appointment.

How

Parish Care Supports Our Parishioners

Funeral planning when a loved one dies. Also assists in preplanning funerals.

Schedule Vigils and Masses for Christian Burial

We check in with our elderly and homebound parishioners bi-weekly.  If they want to receive holy communion we will make arrangements.

Coordinate the anointing of the sick at home, in hospitals, in nursing homes and communal services in the church.


Short term meal help for parishioners recovering from illness or a medical procedure


As a community outreach, on a monthly basis, we provide healthy pet food  to owners who need help feeding their pets.


Trains and organizes the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the homebound


Organizes a yearly pastoral seminar focused on end-of-life issues and the importance of pre-planning funeral arrangements.

Pat's Closet offers dog and cat food for pet owners who are not able to feed their animals. 

It also provides clothing and personal hygiene products for people in need.

Pat's Closet is open on the third Thursday of each month From 10 AM to 12 PM and is located in the downstairs porch of the Brisson House.
