Middle School/EDGE Youth Group for 6th, 7th and 8th Graders
For all pre-teens and teens in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades, Catholic religious education is a requirement as it is the pathway to the Sacrament of Confirmation. Our EDGE Middle School Ministry provides a safe, fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way.
8th grade students that have been in Faith Formation for their K-7 classes will also be completing their Sacrament of Confirmation preparation during their 8th grade year. We use the program Chosen by Ascension Press and present this material through 4 half-day retreats later in the school year.
To begin registration for our Middle School program – please download the Youth Ministry registration packet and complete all the requested information. For next steps, reach out to our Youth Minister, Denys Davis at 336-497-1408 or holycrossyouthministry@yahoo.com.
High School Youth Group for 9th – 12th Grade Students
Our Youth Group program is open to all teens in 9th-12th grade who have completed their Rites of Initiation with the Catholic Church (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation). Using the Life Teen program, we lead teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Our program offers year-round weekly meetings; service opportunities at both, Holy Cross Church and in our local community; Catholic retreats; and summer camp!
To get your teen started in our High School Youth Group, please complete this registration packet and contact our Youth Minister, Denys Davis, at 336-497-1408 or holycrossyouthministry@yahoo.com
Sacraments for Teens - Catholic Foundations Program
If your teen needs any of the Catholic Rites of Initiation – Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation – and has not attended a yearly Faith Formation program, our Catholic Foundations classes have been created just for them! In this program, we work with all teens to learn their Catholic faith at a pace that suits them while moving forward to the Sacraments. Our program uses the YOUCAT materials for weekly group discussions.
To get your teen started in our Catholic Foundations Program, please complete this registration packet and contact our Youth Minister, Denys Davis, at 336-497-1408 or holycrossyouthministry@yahoo.com
